you're welcome, thanks for replying :)
I assumed you would know the guy, perhaps you call him Alexis or Boss, hehe.. As far as I know he is managing the company you work at. I met him and Reitsma for an interview, as I chose C+R for a university project, an entrepreneurial case study to be more precise. Unfortunately the professor only took the project into account for 20 percent of the final grade, so we could not really produce an elaborate case but it was still an enjoyable stay at the castle. :)

If you'd actually read my post you'd see that I do not condone installing directly from the Snow Leopard DVD – although it is technically possible and even if it may be a legal gray area in your jurisdiction.

There is a world outside the US where doing what I describe in my post is legal and that's where I happen to be. Your mileage may vary. It's a beautiful world out there. Enjoy it – don't hate it.

It would be interesting if Apple decided to take noncommercial US Hackintosh fans who bought their Apple OSX to court, though. Wouldn't that be a great marketing move?

I enjoy OSX on my Lenovo S10e which works miraculously well
with a Samsung 128GB SSD in it, parallel to win7 :)
To further make use of the entire screen real estate while browsing
on your little HacMac, try this package for Safari:

Apart from the rather annoying extra functions it allows you to browse
in a real full screen mode.
Additionally, I recommend "Right Zoom" from here http://www.blazingtools.com/downloads.html#Righ...
which turns the green maximize button functionality into something more useful for a netbook :)

I was really surprised to see someone from the castle use a HacMac, I was a visitor back in October of the last year conducting research for a university project.

You bought an UPGRADE CD and are using it on new equipment. That isn't legal in any country in the world. Furthermore, Apple licenses only the rights to USE the software, not to MODIFY the software. By using the process described in this blog, you are modifying the software (by installing a modified boot loader). That is a copyright violation in almost all of the world.

Apple owns the software and all the rights to the software. You have ZERO rights unless they are granted to you by the copyright owner. When you exchange your money for the CD, you are given only certain rights by Apple (read the EULA). You can NOT unilaterally decide that you want more rights than you are given. If you don't agree to the terms, then you don't have ANY rights (since the only rights you have are the ones given to you by Apple and you are not agreeing to their terms).
